Common questions
Before you schedule
Can a point-of-use heater serve a shower?
Only equipment sized for the required shower flow and temperature rise should be considered. Many small units are intended for sinks and cannot provide comfortable shower demand.
Is a mini-tank better than point-of-use tankless?
It depends on space, power, flow, frequency, and how quickly the stored volume may be used. A small tank can be simple for intermittent sink use, while tankless needs adequate electrical capacity.
Would recirculation be a better fix?
Possibly. If several fixtures wait for hot water, a properly designed recirculation strategy may address the whole branch. One remote fixture may favor point-of-use equipment.
